It’s 4:30 am. The Q70 bus should have been here by now. The bus after that bus should have been here by now as they’re supposed to come every 20 minutes. I’ve been standing here for 30.<\/p>\n

I made the decision to duck out of a delightful post show drinks and dinner chat to try and get a few hours shuteye. I barely slept a wink. My vegan hotel, (please, no alcohol, meats, or cheeses), afforded me a 183 cm in length and probably a quarter of that in width cubicle on the 3rd floor, with little air circulation but plenty of street noise.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

They asked us not to shower after 11 pm as a courtesy to other guests. They didn’t say when one could shower again, much like the rules for not feeding Mogwis after midnight or face a pack of scaly Gremlins. They never tell you when you can feed those little furballs breakfast.<\/p>\n

As a result, I’m bedraggled and unkempt and look like it’s 4:30 am. My flights this morning will take me from LaGuardia to Pittsburgh by way of Nashville, an itinerant itinerary emblematic of the Southwest Airlines Shuffle.<\/p>\n

It’s a 7 hour trip once I board, then a 2 hour drive to Canton. A long day to eventually run a long way.<\/p>\n

I’m not entirely sure if I’m coming or going. But I am moving. So that’s something.<\/p>\n

The bus has arrived. \u00a0My subway ride allowed a transfer so all in it cost me $2.75 to get to the airport. \u00a0Well, $2.75 plus,\u00a0as my Econ 10 professor would tell me, opportunity costs of sleep and time. \u00a0But right now, at 5:02 am at gate B3, that seems like a good deal.<\/p>\n
