At mile 24, I stopped to have a handful of Herr’s salted pretzels. Those pretzels made thirsty and I needed to walk while gulping down some H2O.<\/p>\n

The clock doesn’t always reflect the time spent. And the photos predominantly involve essaying\u00a0antic dispositions and are culled from the chaff of too many entirely bad shots.<\/p>\n

It was a rough day mentally. The weather, aside from a few wind tunnel-ish head winds, was mostly ideal for running… there even was a surprise cameo by the sun.<\/p>\n

But as I said, mentally it was a melancholy monsoon. \u00a0And I just never felt an endorphin rush of joy… it was all running and very little high. \u00a0It wound up being a pretty great clock time\u00a0but a not-so-great me time.<\/p>\n

The 90 minutes it took to get out of the parking garage due to\u00a0a galatically stupid traffic flow plan didn’t help.<\/p>\n

Four parking garages all were detoured into a single lane to acces the wrong way on an alley to try and get cars out. I’ve rarely been more road rage frustrated nor\u00a0felt as trapped inside a vehicle… and I’ve flown United! Zing!<\/p>\n

Speaking of which, instead of uploading pics from the day or going off on a sightseeing adventure, the toll has taken on me enough that I’m just headed to the airport to fly United across the mainland country. \u00a0What could possibly go wrong? \u00a0And in\u00a0asking that question I can’t imagine having jinxed myself in any way…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
