Two thousand miles. That’s what I’m looking at starting today. A road trip to see some classic friends and run some country miles.<\/p>\n

My alarm went off at 6 AM so I could get a run in before the 8+ hour drive today.\u00a0 I hit snooze and ignored it.\u00a0 I may regret that later.<\/p>\n

Here’s a general overview of the drive — I’ve left off the specific points of interest but you get the gist. It’s a long way up and a long way back. But along the way are aid stations manned by friends far afield but always dear.<\/p>\n

I’m looking forward to the adventure. Sure, sure. It’s the open road by car and by foot — not courtesy of Fred Flintstone’s two feet mind you but I do expect a yabbadabba-doo time… A dabba-doo time… dare I say I expect even a gay old time.<\/p>\n
