When George Lucas originally conceived of “The Star Wars” (with that soon-to-be-lost definite article) there were embryonic elements that we all would come to know and love … and there were some marked differences that would be rewritten into the archives as “what might have been.” The plot was much more a translation of Akira Kurosawa’s The Hidden Fortress<\/i> and chronicled aged General Luke Skywalker and his young Padawan apprentice Annikin Starkiller’s mission to rescue and protect a kidnapped Princess Leia and the troubles they run into in an effort to get her safely home. Along the way, they encounter a Urellian rogue smuggler by the name of Han Solo… a large, green amphibious alien from a race known to hunt and kill Wookies. So a few changes would occur in ensuing drafts.<\/p>\n

In 2013, Dark Horse comics adapted the original story notes into a comic book. This is what Han looked like:<\/p>\n

Again, so, a few changes would happen during the development of “The Star Wars” into “Star Wars.”\u00a0 Sometimes less is a lot more.<\/p>\n

I’m hoping that’s the case with the blog posts of late. I realize they were interminable naval gazing slogs, pretentious and frankly mostly worthless; they have been a raw\u00a0reflection of me and where I’m at emotionally and physically yet\u00a0that way leads to madness.<\/p>\n

Going forward, I’m going to try and re-focus on reporting the facts and figures and details imparted by local guides on the tours I\u2019m taking and then personally documenting a few sights with photographs.<\/p>\n

I’m going to try and keep as much of me out of this as I can in a new hope that it’s better than what has come before.<\/p>\n
