When looking up “bruised ribs” I opted for the NHS site because if there’s one thing working in the UK taught me, it’s that they vet the text of these things scrupulously… not always accurately but definitely scrupulously.<\/p>\n

I am definitely feeling a pain when I breathe, and I’m more hunched over than normal, as if I’m over-playing Richard III or Quasimodo.<\/p>\n

There’s not much to be done about it.\u00a0 Again, I googled it:<\/p>\n

Options include: Rest.\u00a0 That’s about it.\u00a0 Pop ibuprofen.\u00a0 Avoid activity that makes it worse but don’t lay about and stay still as then infections can occur.<\/p>\n

I had toyed with the idea of signing up for a race to try and motivate me to get back in there, tiger.\u00a0 Atlanta even sent me a “devil in the desert” temptation note:<\/p>\n
