It\u2019s the real thing. My Table 44 friend Kerry bought a place in Denver and it\u2019s gorgeous… and she graciously is letting me stay for the Colfax Marathon on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The charming welcome started from the code keypad…<\/p>\n

… and carried on thereafter, non-stop.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s\u00a0been great catching up with her. \u00a0She even indulged my \u201cKate Middleton is a terrible, terrible person\u201d rants. \u00a0Ugh, the Royals! \u00a0All of \u2018em. \u00a0I\u2019m an American; we fought a revolution to get rid of such things. \u00a0And then fought another one in 1812!<\/p>\n

But even as I screamed, she screamed, and we all screamed for ice cream. \u00a0Holy cow, they make some good flavors here in Denver. I promised the next time Kerry\u2019s in California I\u2019ll take her to Diddy\u00a0Riese. \u00a0Meantime, I may have to ask for a repeat trip to this place:<\/p>\n

Kerry\u2019s great and I appreciate her taking time out of her schedule to tour guide. \u00a0Especially given that my AirBNB next week just cancelled on me… but not before trying to jack up my rate.<\/p>\n

I have always relied on the kindness of great people… and it breaks my heart that I also seem to expect the inherent disingenuity of strangers.<\/p>\n
