And though I felt a twinge in my tibia now and again, it was not debilitating nor indicative of an end-of-the-road injury. Having finished the run, it all seems&#8230; fine. Not great. Not life-changing&#8230; but not life-changing in a bad way either. It just&#8230; is.<br \/><br \/>I&#8217;m slow and my cardio isn&#8217;t where it should be by any stretch of the imagination. Hills, or should I say merely inclines, which I haven&#8217;t had to deal with in preceding weeks due to training in the flatlands of Florida, proved challenging and downright interminable in the Hollywood Hills.<br \/><br \/>I made a quick trip to La-La Land to check in on industry woes and meet up with some friends from along the way. Emotionally fulfilling if physically exhausting as I ping-ponged the city streets to catch people in real life. In some small way, that was always appropriate training for what lies ahead.<br \/><br \/>Cleveland Rocks and Rolls its way toward me like a slow train. But it&#8217;s an unstoppable force. Am I an immovable object? As a would-be marathon runner, one has to hope I am moveable. Only time will tell.<\/p>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today I ran 16 miles.
