That was one tough red-eye. The rental car place was an exercise in Goldilocksian Murphy&#8217;s Law. The first car I got had a check engine light; the second had no keys; and the third&#8230; well, it wasn&#8217;t rigged to explode if I went over 50 mph because I&#8217;m not sure it CAN go over 50 mph&#8230; so I guess it&#8217;s &#8220;just right?&#8221; It got me to where I needed to go, though.<\/p>\n<p>After some fuzzy half-sleep nap time, I got out the door for a run to try and shake off the cobwebs of travel, to clear my head, and to get right with the day. It would be a slow, slow process. But I got a few miles in and will tick a few more boxes before calling it an early night. I need to double check a few details on the Little Grand Canyon run this weekend in Price, Utah. It&#8217;s mostly packed gravel trail but with little incline so that&#8217;ll be good for the soul and soles.<\/p>\n<p>Still &#8212; yeesh.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yeesh.
