<\/a><\/p>\nAnd so I was remiss in all efforts to say \u2018see you real soon\u2019 on the Disney Magic cruiseship last night and this morning.\u00a0 The cruise staff did their traditional farewell, a musical sketch comedy piece entitled \u201cIf I Were Not Upon The Sea\u2026.\u201d\u00a0 Various cruise members imagine their lives off the ship in various occupations that create a Rube Goldbergian T&A base humor assembly line of grabs and punches.\u00a0 Derrell kicked it up a notch as a golden haired tennis pro and stole the show\u2026 no easy feat when the Cruise Director is in some skimpy blackjack dealer outfit and another staffer is literally flashing the audience in her bikini.\u00a0 And yet as the night wore on, I opted not to say goodbye to some folks who were so good to Mom and me on the ship\u2026 instead, I just faded away into the background, into the night, into the harbor itself this morning as we steamed into New York City.<\/p>\n
We\u2019re sitting in our hotel not too far from Central Park at the moment.\u00a0 We caught a matinee of \u201cHoliday Inn\u201d a new restaging of Irving Berlin classics that somehow also underscored the passage of time in a sweetly romantic and yet still melancholic manner for me.\u00a0 Maybe I\u2019m just feeling sentimental and saccharine and out of sorts.\u00a0 I didn\u2019t run this morning albeit we hoofed it up and down Broadway.<\/p>\n Plus, we snapped a shot that at this stage summarizes things nicely:<\/p>\n How do you get to Carnegie Hall?\u00a0 Via a boat from Barcelona, that\u2019s how\u2026<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n
