I’m still bandaged.\u00a0 I’m bruising up not so nicely too, like a fruit dropped on the floor repeatedly at the supermarket and placed back in the bin for some unsuspecting customer.\u00a0 But that’s not why this post is titled “Ouch.”\u00a0 Well, okay, maybe it is — who knew how often I rested my elbow on a solid surface?\u00a0 I do now — because every time I do it’s like a thousand nerve endings cry out as one.<\/p>\n

But I digress…<\/p>\n

The reason for the “Ouch” heading is that I’m prepping for tomorrow’s drive down to Anaheim for the Star Wars 10K at Disneyland.\u00a0 Unlike the runDisney events in Florida, the California races have a different take on parking.\u00a0 Here’s an excerpt from the Final Race Instructions:<\/p>\n

The “Accountaneers” must have decided that on top of the exorbitant fees charged for race registration by runDisney that the Walt Disney Company also needs to gouge runners for $20 to park on the day.\u00a0 I rail against this EVERY TIME I do a California runDisney event… so why should 2017 be any different.<\/p>\n

If I think it hurts now… wait until 3:30 AM tomorrow when I have to fork over an Andrew Jackson.\u00a0 Highway robbery takes on new meanings every single time I park there.<\/p>\n
