The Tokyo Marathon had elites only. Hong Kong cancelled outright. Rome cancelled. Paris postponed to the fall. I’ve run all of those in past years and it was a bummer to know folks who had been training and looking forward to running them missed out this year. I was actually kind of surprised LA went ahead… and indeed my brother who was trying to cheer me on was freaked out waiting amidst the infection dis-control of it all.
But I have run… and I continue to run… and hope to run again.
And yet… toady I found out the coronavirus has struck down Oakland. Is this the first of many cancellations that will impact me?

3/22/2020 – Oakland Marathon – CANCELLED.
3/28/2020 – Irving Marathon — still on as of now…
4/4/2020 – Revel Mt Charleston — still on as of now…
4/12/2020 – Kharkiv Marathon, Ukraine (with a detour out to Chernobyl!) – still on as of now…
