Earth Day. Seemed like as good a day as any to do the Forrest Gump virtual half marathon I signed up for during this Covid-19 mess.
Quick note on the above: the swag may be shipped for free, but the swag itself wasn’t free. But I get what they mean.
There have been a lot of Forrest Gump inspired events over the years… over the, gulp, 26 years since Forrest Gump ran across movie screens.
Time has gotten away from me, that’s for sure… and it got away from me this morning for the half marathon course I looped around my neighborhood.
I didn’t dress up, I didn’t grow a beard or do anything wacky. I just kept running. And that’s all I have to say about that.
